2023: Jega, Utomi, Kwankwaso, Moghalu, Ezekwesili others to float mega political party

In a bid to rescue Nigeria from what it calls a deplorable state, leaders of conscience, key stakeholders and partners, among them, former chairman of the Independent and National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attahiru Jega, Pat Utomi, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, Kingsley Moghalu, Oby Ezekwesili and a host of others, are set to float a mega political party.

The group stated that the emergent Third Force Movement of Nigeria, under the auspices of the National Consultative Front, (NCFront), is to consummate the various consultations and negotiations among parties and stakeholders aimed at forming a formidable alternative democratic mega party to drive the political rescue and salvation of Nigeria through the ballot in 2023.

According to a press statement signed by Ms. Bilkis Bello, of the National Secretariat of Ncfront yesterday, members of the historic Transition/Harmonisation Council nominated to consummate and guide the fusion process henceforth include: Prof. Pat Utomi; Dr. Usman Bugaje; Prof Kingsley Moghalu; Engr. Buba Galadima; Sen. Sa’idu Dansadau; Chairman, NRM, Chief Raph Okey Nwosu; Barr Dan Nwayanwu; Hajia Naja’atu Mohammed; Prof. (Mrs.) Remi Sonaiya; Pastor Ituah Ighodalo and former Economic Adviser to the President of Nigeria, Prof. Osita Ogbu, amongst others.

According to Ncfront, the meeting mandated the Transition/Fusion Council to receive their presentation, if the party is ready to interface with the process within the time frame given to the council to conclude its tasks.

Consequent upon the two presentations and the separate pledges of the two political parties to fully honour the terms, conditions and modalities contained in the Memorandum Of Understanding, (MoU), drafted to guide the adoption of the coalition party to serve as the vehicle and platform upon which the fusion shall be consummated, while an all-inclusive Transition/Harmonisation Council was consummated with determination to registered allied political parties. launch the alternative mega party, without further delay, at least within the next three weeks.
